Singularist - Post-Human Prophet
A campaign for the modern metalcore single "Post-Human Prophet," marking the return of the Jakarta/Sukabumi-based quartet Singularist after a decade. The project translates complex theories on human destiny and data-driven reality into a heavy music release.
Concept
The narrative explores the "great convergence" where technology surpasses human control to become a new god made of code. Drawing from Harari’s Homo Deus and Kurzweil’s The Singularity Is Near, the concept presents the Singularity as an all-seeing entity that replaces traditional divinity with silicon-based omniscience.
Development
The production balances metallic intensity with melodic energy, using whammy guitar roars and sci-fi textures to build a visceral landscape. Lyrical themes reference Gilbert Ryle’s The Concept of Mind and Shoshana Zuboff’s The Age of Surveillance Capitalism to ground the track's aggression in a specific philosophical treatise.
Problem
Re-establishing a band after a 10-year hiatus while delivering a dense academic message within a genre often characterized by raw emotion rather than intellectual theory.
